Airbotics Talent are working with an exciting UAV and Robotics business with a global customer base and a market leading technology platform. They are now looking to scale their US operations by hiring a UAS Operator who can also help to manage their Houston operation. Candidates should be based in Houston or willing to relocate, with travel expected be based in any US state, with the ability to work from home and travel to customers across the US when required.
The Role
This role is critical in supporting customers either currently utilizing their drone systems or prospective new customers. You will be responsible for performing product demos, delivering training customers to operate the system and taking part in flight projects in the field. In addition to flying, as an operator / pilot, you will offer technical support and guidance to customer as well as perform simplistic repairs on drones. Finally, as one of the first employees in the Houston location, you will support the Operational management including office management, inventory and logstics.
The Person
It is essential candidates:
- Have experience flying drones in a commercial environment (ie. for an established drone manufacturer, services provider or platform), not just purely on a hobbyist basis
- Hold a Part 107 license
- Are local to Houston or willing to relocate
- Are flexible to traveling across the US to demo and operate on missions for customers
It is desirable (but not essential) candidates:
- Are degree educated in an Aviation or Engineering discipline
- Have an appreciation for drone hardware and can perform basic build, troubleshooting and fixes
- Have previously help responsibility beyond purely operating, which will help with the Operational leadership of the Houston office – ie. Project Management, team management experience, Operations leadership, Office Management etc
