Apple may be ahead of schedule for its 20.3-inch foldable device, to launch in 2025

A new report based on an investor note claims that Apple is likely ahead of schedule with its devices. The new leak corroborates earlier findings by multiple sources, claiming Apple is working on a 20.3-inch foldable hybrid device, followed by a foldable iPhone.

However, those reports imply that Apple will be ready with its first foldable in 2026-2027 at the earliest, while the most recent one suggests the device will come out as soon as 2025. Following supply chain trails, the tech company will be ready for mass production in late 2025, which means the device will launch in late 2025 or early 2026.

The hybrid device will be the first of Apple’s new lineup and won’t be branded as an iPad or MacBook. It will target the ultra-premium market segment too.

Of course, a foldable iPhone is also in the works and Apple is allegedly developing two sizes – 7.9″ and 8.3″. These will likely enter mass production a year later, in late 2026.

We’ve all known that the Cupertino-based company is trying to enter the foldable market, but this is the most optimistic forecast we’ve seen so far. Only time will tell if Apple will be able to pull it off.
