Red Cat and Doodle Labs Triumph in Electronic Warfare Tests in Ukraine: collaboration demonstrates enhanced anti-jamming capabilities for drones amid ongoing military challenges.

Red Cat Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: RCAT), a prominent player in drone technology, has announced a successful outcome in electronic warfare testing in Ukraine alongside Doodle Labs. This initiative is part of their ongoing U.S. Army Short Range Reconnaissance (SRR) program, which started in May 2023.

The tests conducted in Ukraine showcased the ability of Teal systems equipped with Doodle Labs’ frequency-hopping radios to withstand Russian jamming, a significant obstacle for Ukrainian forces using small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) at scale. These systems are designed to operate effectively in multi-domain environments, facilitating surveillance and swarming tactics.

George Matus, CTO of Red Cat, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership: “The main objective of every one of our partnerships is to increase the survivability and lethality of the warfighter – and our work with Doodle Labs is no exception. The U.S. and its allies require a capability that prevents their systems from being jammed during critical missions, and this successful EW test is a major step forward for Teal in meeting these requirements.”

The partnership integrates Doodle Labs’ Mesh Rider radio technology, which is distinguished by its ability to evade sophisticated jamming attempts over long distances. Amol Parikh, Co-CEO of Doodle Labs, highlighted the significance of this advancement: “The war in Ukraine has demonstrated the real world need for low-cost, U.S. made drones that can be deployed rapidly at scale and withstand enemy jamming attempts. Our Mesh Rider radio is proven to evade the most highly sophisticated jamming attempts at long distances, and we’re highly encouraged by the successful integration and EW testing with Red Cat and Teal.”
